This is not a topic to skim over. It\u2019s the difference between protecting your future and putting your team\u2019s hard work at risk.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Let\u2019s Get Something Straight: You Cannot Say Whatever You Want<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you\u2019re making <\/span><b>income claims<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014in a presentation, post, video, or live training\u2014you\u2019re operating in dangerous territory unless you\u2019re doing it by the book.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>FTC Rule:<\/b> <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you make an income claim, you must clearly and conspicuously disclose the income that typical participants earn.<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Source: FTC Business Guidance Concerning Multi-Level Marketing \u2014<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ftc.gov\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">www.ftc.gov<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s not enough to flash a disclosure on the screen for a second or bury it in small print. The income disclosure must be <\/span><b>immediate, clear, and complete<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014every time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you\u2019re talking about your results, and implying that others can achieve the same, you\u2019re opening the door to <\/span><b>regulatory action.<\/b><\/p>\n<h3><b>Lifestyle Claims Can Sink Your Ship Too<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Let\u2019s talk about <\/span><b>indirect income claims<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014you standing in front of a mansion, flashing your Rolex, or posting from the driver\u2019s seat of your Bentley. If those images are tied to your business promotion, you are effectively making a financial claim, even if you never say a word about money.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is still a <\/span><b>compliance violation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and one the FTC takes very seriously.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Network marketing compliance means being mindful of what you portray\u2014not just what you say.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> If your posts suggest \u201cthis could be you\u201d or \u201clook what my business did for me,\u201d you\u2019d better be ready with proper disclosures\u2014or better yet, avoid it entirely.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Product Claims: This Is Where Things Get Really Risky<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you\u2019re promoting nutrition, health, or wellness products, <\/span><b>you cannot make medical claims<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014period.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You are not allowed to say your product:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Healed arthritis<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cured cancer<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reversed diabetes<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Replaced medication<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\nThese are <\/span><b>drug claims<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and unless your product has gone through the FDA\u2019s drug approval process, <\/span><b>you are not allowed to make them<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Even personal stories like \u201cThis product got me off insulin\u201d are dangerous. The FDA and FTC don\u2019t care if it\u2019s your truth\u2014they care if it violates federal law.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stick to your company\u2019s <\/span><b>approved language<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. If in doubt, don\u2019t say it.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>If You See Something, Say Something<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Network marketing compliance isn\u2019t just about what <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">you<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> say\u2014it\u2019s about protecting the company you represent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If someone in your company is making wild claims, <\/span><b>call it out<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Give them a chance to correct it. But if they ignore you, don\u2019t hesitate to report them to <\/span><b>your company\u2019s compliance department<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Why?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Because <\/span><b>their behavior could bring the whole company under investigation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and when that happens, everyone suffers\u2014including the people doing it the right way.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Final Thought: Respect the Rules, Protect Your Business<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Network marketing has given thousands of people a better life. But the more people abuse the rules, the more risk we all take on.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t be lazy. Don\u2019t hype things up. Don\u2019t act like success is easy or guaranteed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Build your business with honesty, integrity, and discipline.
