Growing an online business<\/strong> as the first Wired To Crush It podcast episode? I say, heck yeah<\/em>!<\/p>\n

Look, I\u2019m not gonna lie. It\u2019s a little embarrassing that it\u2019s taken me sooooo long to start my very own podcast show!<\/p>\n

I\u2019m definitely no stranger to Podcasts.<\/p>\n

In fact, I\u2019ve been listening to podcasts since 2014 and my YouTube channel<\/a> was even inspired by Amy Porterfield<\/a>\u2019s podcast and Marie Forleo\u2019s YouTube Show.<\/p>\n

You may be wondering, why start now?<\/p>\n

Well, after building my online brand through YouTube<\/a>, and other social media platforms. I have learned that my audience actually wants to learn from me through a podcast so I can be taken \u201con the go. \u201c<\/p>\n

You know me\u2026 when you guys ask<\/em>, I listen.<\/em><\/p>\n

On top of podcasts being more \u201con the go\u201d YouTube isn\u2019t the best platform to dive deeper into important topics.<\/p>\n

YouTube is a really great place to find new people that don\u2019t know your brand exists, while a podcast is an amazing place to take your audience and continue that conversation with them.<\/p>\n

With that being said, I wanted a space where we could get a little more intimate with the things that are going on in my business and life.<\/p>\n

So to kick start this amazing podcast journey we\u2019re about to embark on together, we\u2019re going to kick it old school and take a look back at growing an online business from $0 and how I turned my brand into a multi million dollar business.<\/strong><\/p>\n

My Goals Were Small In The Beginning of Growing An Online Business<\/h2>\n

Sometimes I still have to pinch myself\u2026.<\/p>\n

I wish the \u20182010 Tanya\u2019 who was sitting in front of her laptop, at her kitchen table praying and hoping her business would bring in just $5000 a month, knew everything that she knew today.<\/p>\n

So, I want to share this with you.<\/p>\n

When you have really good content out there, when you\u2019re really dedicated and you have the right ambition and drive \u2013 in this online business world the sky’s the limit for you<\/em>!<\/p>\n

Looking Back When I Started Growing An Online Business<\/h2>\n

Back in the early 2000\u2019s I worked as a finance specialist. I did well financially, I made a high six figure income, but I was completely time poor.<\/p>\n

I was working 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, and had to be on call the seventh day. phew<\/em>!<\/p>\n

After five or six years of this \u2013 it just starts to weigh on you.<\/p>\n

This was the exact reason I dove into learning how to grow an online business. On the show, I share exactly how this all started for me!<\/p>\n

Success leaves clues<\/h3>\n

If somebody around you has the lifestyle you want and has a path for you to get there \u2013 you listen and humble yourself to the process.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sometimes you really don’t want what you think<\/em> you want.<\/p>\n

Growing an online business to A MILLION dollar business sounds cool right?<\/p>\n

Well\u2026..<\/p>\n

You might THINK you want a Million Dollar business\u2026 until you realize what it take to manage this type of business.<\/p>\n

However, with the right systems and processes in place, it can be amazing.<\/p>\n

On the show I talk about the areas of business that I had to learn and how I designed systems and processes around these tasks so that I could still live my perfect day!<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t want to end up like those people who make a ton of money but don\u2019t have the time to enjoy one ounce of it.<\/p>\n

All the money in the world won’t matter if you’re not enjoying your days.<\/p>\n

The first step is knowing how much money you need to be able to actually support the dream lifestyle that you want.<\/p>\n

Humble beginnings<\/h3>\n

A lot of my stress about money stems from how I grew up.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s because I was raised in a very humble home where I heard \u201cWe can\u2019t afford it\u201d more often than not.<\/p>\n

As a result, even If I was making more than enough \u2013 I still felt like I had to stress about money.<\/p>\n

It affected a lot of my business decisions and caused me so much stress. Can you say elevated Cortisol levels with me? All together now! Elevated Cortisol levels!<\/em><\/p>\n

So after going through the activity, I was pleasantly surprised and A LOT of my money stress disappeared.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Not all of it if I\u2019m being honest, but\u2026<\/p>\n

A huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I\u2019m able to operate from a completely different and more creative place.<\/p>\n

Decide On What Truly Matters When Growing An Online Business<\/h2>\n

\u201cIf you don’t know where you’re going, you’re bound to end up somewhere else and that place might be scary.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

You don’t want to sacrifice your health or your family for business.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This shapes everything that I now do in my life.<\/p>\n

The most important thing in my life is my family, my friends, and our health.<\/p>\n

The business is built to support this, not tear it down.<\/p>\n

There are seasons where you have to make sacrifices, where you have to say, \u201chey, guys, I’m going to be focused on the business because we need to make money right now.\u201d but when you start making the money, I would very much encourage you to remember what is most important and what you\u2019re doing everything for.<\/p>\n

I thought this would be the perfect first episode of Wired to Crush It, because this is going to set the foundation for everything that we talk about on the show.<\/p>\n
