We’re inundated with tips, tactics, and training tutorials, especially in the arena of network marketing. Yet, possessing knowledge and actually acting on it are two different things.

What’s the bridge between the two? Consistent daily action. If you follow me, I I’m sure you’ve heard me talk about the importance of consistent daily action and how it can make a significant impact on your network marketing business.

Let’s explore WHY the transition from “knowing” to “doing” is pivotal and how to make that leap.

The Trap of Perpetual Learning

Sir Francis Bacon coined the phrase “knowledge is power” in the 1800’s. And if he were here, I’d argue that point with him. In my opinion, knowledge is nice. Knowledge is ONLY powerful when it’s put into action. Otherwise, knowledge is useless.

Knowledge is power, but without movement, it’s like a car without fuel. The quest for one more strategy can sometimes lead to analysis paralysis, where one is perpetually learning, but never implementing. Do you happen to know anyone like that?

Why Daily Action Matters

Building Momentum: Starting is often the hardest part. Daily actions, even if they’re small, create a momentum that’s easier to sustain than sporadic bursts of effort.

Reinforcing Learning: Knowledge is solidified when put into practice. By acting on what we learn, we move information from short-term memory to long-term mastery.

Feedback and Growth: Actions lead to outcomes, both successes and failures. These outcomes provide real-world feedback, crucial for refinement and growth.

Strategies to Shift from Knowing to Doing

Prioritize: Understand what’s crucial. Focus on one strategy or tactic at a time, and commit to implementing it before moving to the next.

Set Micro-Goals: Instead of overarching goals, set smaller, daily objectives. These are more manageable and less overwhelming, making it easier to act upon.

Stay Accountable: Share your goals with someone…a mentor, a peer, or a team. Knowing someone’s tracking your progress can be a powerful motivator.

Personal Reflections: Crossing the Chasm

If there’s anything I want you to be, it’s this…be an ACTION TAKER. What’s an action taker? When someone teaches you something, do it. When you learn something, apply it.

I don’t know where I got this trait, but that’s one fortunate thing I have working for me. I’ve always been a doer, at least in the things worth doing. And let me tell you this, network marketing is worth doing! If you’re stuck in learning mode, take my advice and refocus on implementing what you’ve learned.

The Fearless Networker has a NEW website…check it out! Look around and be sure to plug in to get FREE trainings and my best field-tested tips for success.
