Every year, like clockwork, I watch people check out when the sun comes out. They disappear. They go into vacation mode. They convince themselves that “no one wants to talk right now” because it’s summer.
And then what happens?
Fall shows up—and they have zero momentum. The pipeline is empty. Their team is disengaged. Their income dips. And they scramble to get going again.
The truth? What you do right now will show up in your business 60 to 90 days from now. That’s not my opinion—it’s how this business works.
You Can’t Build Something Great by Taking Entire Seasons Off
Would you trust a local business that randomly closed every Tuesday?
One day they’re open, the next they’re not. You’d stop going. You’d find someone more reliable.
Inconsistency destroys trust.
If you treat your business like a hobby, don’t be shocked when it pays you like one.
If you want real results, you’ve got to show up when it’s easy, when it’s hard, and—yes—even when it’s summer.
Excuses Are Available Year-Round
Summer. Holidays. Back to school. Kids’ sports. Family obligations.
You can find a reason every month of the year to not show up. And plenty of people do. But if you want to build something real, sustainable, and profitable, you have to stay consistent.
No one is saying you can’t enjoy your summer.
Go to the beach. Hit the pool. Grill out. Spend time with your family.
But don’t flip the switch off on your business. Adjust your hours if you need to—but don’t close the doors.
You’re a Business Owner. Act Like One.
In this profession, you’re not an employee. You’re an entrepreneur. And that comes with responsibility.
Stay visible. Keep prospecting. Continue following up.
Even if it’s just one hour a day, that hour compounds if you stay consistent.
Don’t let the summer set you back three months.
Use it to create momentum that carries you into the strongest season of the year—fall.
