    Questions Are More Important Than Facts in Network Marketing

    What is one thing that separates the average person in Network Marketing from the superstars?

    Most people think that superstars are silver-tongued professionals who have an answer for everything, can deliver the facts with passion, and inspire people with their incredible knowledge and wisdom. But they’re wrong. The thing that differentiates the superstars from the average is their ability to ask questions.

    Questions are the key to success. Rather than telling someone all the facts and reasons why what you are offering is so great, it’s much better to ask questions.

    Ask them if they’ve ever thought about becoming an entrepreneur, if they’ve tried in the past, or if they want to make a better living. Asking questions builds rapport and trust, and when the time comes, you will have a much better idea how to explain why your product and/or opportunity might be a fit for them.  

    Amateurs immediately start telling their prospects all the facts about the compensation plan, the company, the product, the opportunity, etc. Professionals ask questions, and then lead people to the answers.

    So work on getting better at asking questions. Be curious about someone else’s situation, be interested in their experiences, life, journey, and thought process rather than trying to offer all the answers. When you ask questions, you don’t have to be an expert.

    You can find out what your prospect is thinking, and collaborate and act almost like a consultant to guide them to a solution to their needs. That’s what makes it work so well.

    After you’ve done all of that, then you can ask the best question in all of Network Marketing, “If I, would you?” For instance, “If I could show you how to solve that problem, would you take a look at the opportunity?”

    So remember, people don’t care about the facts, so ask questions and guide people as a consultant, friend, colleague – someone who can lead them to a solution. This is what differentiates Network Marketing superstars from the crowd.
