Podcast, I sit down for a candid talk with Dan McCormick.
I made the decision a few months ago to sit down and host some genuinely honest and candid conversations with entrepreneurs…both in and out of the network marketing profession.
Dan McCormick and I have been good friends for many years and I have tremendous respect for him and his commitment to longevity in the network marketing profession. The first time I heard Dan on a conference call was around 1993 and I remember being immediately attracted to his energy and zest for life hearing him enthusiastically state, “I’m having the GREATEST day of my life.”
Needless to say, he made a very positive impact on my life during my early days of network marketing and introduced me to some amazing books like Og Mandino’s The Greatest Secret in the World, James Allen’s As a Man Thinketh and other greats like The Richest Man in Babylon by George Clason.
Dan’s Background:
Dan got started in network marketing in 1987 and has been a continuous promoter of the profession ever since. His consistency, amazing attitude and genuine inquisitiveness and curiosity has made him massively successful, making his first million in his early 20’s.
Influencial Figures:
Todd asks and explores how Dan has achieved massive success in the network marketing space. Dan takes a deeper dive going beyond knowing “your why” and walks you through the individuals who personally influenced and helped shape his life including legends like Jim Rohn, Larry Thompson, Mark Hughes.
The Value of Books:
Dan makes the bold statement to “never read a book again”. He goes on to explain that people read books all the time, but don’t digest them. Dan challenges others to treat books like they are huge investments. He emphasizes that it’s not about how many books you read but how deeply you understand and apply the knowledge within them. “Don’t just read a book, study it.”
